Abstract
Svrha ovog diplomskog rada bila je istražiti resurse i kapacitete koje bi omogućile razvoj strategije općine Zemunik kao turističke destinacije. Budući da općina Zemunik pripada ruralnom prostoru Hrvatske, najveći naglasak je stavljen na razvoj ruralnog turizma čiji bi razvoj omogućio gospodarski rast općine. Problemi s kojima se suočavaju ruralna područja Hrvatske su nedovoljna ulaganja u razvoj ruralnog turizma te nezainteresiranost lokalne vlasti. Ruralna područja su i dalje nedovoljno razvijena, a lokalno stanovništvo i dalje nije dovoljno educirano i upoznato sa prednostima koje ruralni turizam pruža. U radu se najprije teorijski približio koncept ruralnog turizma, prikazano je aktualno stanje razvijenosti ruralnog turizma u Hrvatskoj, te uvjeti razvoja turizma na ruralnim područjima. Zatim su se prikupili i analizirali podaci o općini Zemunik, a lokalno stanovništvo je putem metode anketiranja i metode intervjua iznijelo svoje stavove o stupnju razvijenosti općine Zemunik. Testirane su hipoteze koje pokazuju kako, statistički gledano, ne postoje pozitivne pretpostavke za razvoj ruralnog turizma na području općine Zemunik.
Abstract (english)
The purpose of this academic study was to investigate the potential resources and capabilities, which would become a development strategy for the the municipality of Zemunik to develop as a tourist destination. Considering that Zeminuk is a rural township in Croatia, the greatest emphasis has to be placed on factors of rural tourism that would best enable economic growth. The issue which faces rural tourism in Croatia is the lack of investment in development, due to a lack of enthusiasm from the rural communities themselves. Rural areas continue to stay underdeveloped as there is a presistent lack of education and comprehension about the advantages of rural tourism among the local communities. Before any actual intervention, first it has to be shown theoretically that there are real indications for potential to develop rural tourism in Croatia. Therefore a collection and analysis of data of the community of Zemunik was completed. By method of survey and interview, the local population was able to express their views and opinions on the degree of development of Zemunik. The study concluded, statistically, that there is a predominantly negative outlook for the potential of growth of rural tourism in the municipality of Zemunik.
