Abstract
Ovaj završni rad bavi se utjecajem aktualne pandemije COVID-19 na globalnu ekonomiju. U radu je ponajprije opisano izbijanje bolesti i napredak pandemije, kako regionalno, tako i na svjetskoj razini. Zatim je opisano izbijanje krize te je prikazan utjecaj pandemije na glavne makroekonomske pokazatelje – bruto domaći proizvod, stopu nezaposlenosti, inflaciju, međunarodnu trgovinu te zaduženost. Također, predstavljene su i neke od projekcija oporavka od bolesti COVID-19. Kada se promatra utjecaj pandemije po sektorima vidljiva je neravnomjerna izloženost negativnom šoku izbijanja krize. U ovom radu poseban naglasak stavlja se na sektor turizma, s obzirom na činjenicu da predstavlja jednu od glavnih spona gospodarstva, a posljedice od negativnog šoka najviše su se osjetile upravo u ovom sektoru. Osvrt je dan i na sektor najmanje pogođen pandemijom – ICT.
Abstract (english)
This final paper deals with the impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy. The paper primarily describes the outbreak of the disease and the progress of the pandemic, both regionally and globally. Then the outbreak of the crisis is described and the impact of the pandemic on the main macroeconomic indicators - gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment rate, inflation, international trade and indebtedness - is shown. Also, some of the COVID-19 disease recovery projections were presented. When the impact of the pandemic is observed by sectors, uneven exposure to the negative shock of the outbreak of the crisis is visible. In this paper, special accent is settled on the tourism sector, given the fact that it is one of the main links in the economy, and the consequences of the negative shock were most felt in this sector. A review is also given of the sector least affected by the pandemic – ICT.
