The main aim of this paper was to examine the satisfaction of tourists with certain elements of the gastronomic offer of the city of Split. Satisfaction is the reason why tourists visit a particular destination. This paper aims to show that a quality offer is the way to more satisfied and loyal guests. In order to create a better offer, it is necessary to research everything that tourists fine important and what affects their satisfaction. In the theoretical part of the paper, the following terms are defined: consumer satisfaction, satisfaction in tourism, quality as a measure of satisfaction and its dimensions, consumer loyalty. The concept of gastronomy and its interdependence with tourism was further elaborated. There is also an overview of trends currently appearing in gastronomy, which can be divided into two groups. The first group of trends refers to trends that form the basis for the development of gastronomic tourism, while the second group of trends refers to trends in the true culinary sense of food preparation and presentation. At the end of the theoretical part of this paper, it is stated to what extent gastronomy appears as a motive for tourist arrival. In the empirical part of the paper, the level of satisfaction of tourists with the gastronomic offer in the area of the city of Split is examined. The research was conducted on 60 subjects. The research results showed that the gastronomic offer of the city of Split has a positive impact on the satisfaction of tourists. Of the individual elements that make up the gastronomic offer, which are part of this research, the respondents rated the language skills of the employees, the atmosphere and the working hours of the restaurant as the highest level of satisfaction. Regarding the availability of certain content, the respondents rated that sea restaurants having the best availability, followed by luxury restaurants and authentic local cuisine.
