Abstract
Tema ovog diplomskog rada je ocjena pogodnosti ciljanja inflacije kao strategije monetarne politike tijekom krize i recesije u Eurozoni. U teorijskom dijelu rada objašnjen je značaj strategije monetarne politike, objašnjene su tri najkorištenije strategije s posebnim naglaskom na strategiju ciljanja inflacije. U nastavku rada napravljena je analiza karakteristika strategije monetarne politike ciljanja inflacije u Eurozoni. Strategija monetarne politike u Eurozoni od 2003. godine je fleksibilno ciljanje inflacije. U istraţivačkom dijelu rada analizirana je kritika fleksibilnog ciljanja inflacije s aspekta financijske stabilnosti i učinkovitost fleksibilnog ciljanja inflacije u poticaju rasta u recesijskoj situaciji. Analizirana je i strategija ciljanja nominalnog BDP-a kao potencijalna monetarna strategija.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this paper work is the assessment of the benefits of inflation targeting as a monetary policy strategy during the crisis and the recession in the Eurozone. The theoretical part of the paper explains the importance of the monetary policy strategy, the three most widely used strategies are explained with a special emphasis on the inflation targeting strategy. After that an analysis of the characteristics of the inflation targeting monetary policy strategy in the Eurozone has been made. The monetary policy strategy of the Eurozone since 2003. is a flexible inflation targeting. The research part of the paper analyzes the criticism of flexible inflation targeting from the aspect of financial stability and the effectiveness of flexible inflation targeting to stimulate growth in the recessionary situation. The nominal GDP targeting strategy as a potential monetary strategy was also analyzed.
