The emergence and development of information technology has really made the work of touroperators on the market easy. The main function of touroperator is organisational, which means that touroperator is the creator and and the organizer of tourism supply, and the sale of it's services is done through intermediaries (travel agencies) who sell their services to their clients directly and do not bear the risk of unsold capacities, while touroperators do. Generally, touroperators don't have a direct contact with their clients, and their location is not crucial for success, while situation with travel agencies is different. Just over thirty years ago, tour operators came to the conclusion that they should integrate into the Internet and increase their sales and with that their profits, by doing so. In modern tourism, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) becomes a necessity and a requirement for the progress of intermediaries. This thesis paper lists and describes the websites of some of the leading tour operators in Europe and the world, how they are used and how representative they are for the best business of these tour operators. In addition, some articles and researches by various authors and students are quoted. In their researches, they come up with various conclusions to improve the e-touroperator business beacuse Internet has an unlimited role in their work and profit. The conclusion of this paper itself is that the application of new information technologies is of strategic importance to every company because it reduces expenses, strengthens competitiveness and increases productivity.
