Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Monopolistic competition is a market where there are many companies that compete with each other, but each of these companies produced a differentiated product, so it can determine prices. Monopolistic competition is the most common market structure in the modern economy. This paper describes the market of coffee as an example of monopolistic competition. Until the last few centuries has started greater demand for coffee. It was expensive and because that they could consumed only the rich people. But drop in prices and large amounts on the market was opened up to the general population and that become the favorite black beverage worldwide. After water, coffee is the most widely used product. Brazil is the largest producer of raw coffee in the world, but because of climate change coffee production is decreasing and becoming more expensive. Many companies engaged in processing and roasting of coffee resort to the production of products based on coffee (cappuccino, 2in1, 3in1, cafe latte, frappe, etc.). For this reason coffee market has stagnated, and becoming more popular products based on coffee.
