Abstract
U ovom radu je analizirana razlika monetarnih politika ECB-a i FED-a u krizi. U uvodnom dijelu rada su predstavljeni problem i predmet istraživanja, istraživačke hipoteze, ciljevi, metode i doprinos istraživanja te struktura rada. Cilj rada je analizirati učinkovitost mjera monetarne politike ECB-a i FED-a za vrijeme krize, odnosno istražiti rezultate tih mjera te analizirati učinkovitost nestandardnih mjera. U radu su opisane karakteristike monetarnih politika i instrumentalnih okvira ECB-a i FED-a, te su prikazane mjere monetarnih politika koje su ECB i FED primijenili za izlazak iz krize. Rezultatima istraživanja učinkovitosti instrumenata monetarne politike u vrijeme krize potvrđena je istinitost postavljenih hipoteza: ECB je sporije reagirala na financijsku krizu od FED-a te time bila manje učinkovita zahvaljujući svojim institucionalnim karakteristikama; nestandardne mjere monetarne politike središnjih banaka ECB-a i FED-a bile su učinkovite u rješavanju financijske krize. U zaključku su sažeti rezultati istraživanja.
Abstract (english)
In this paper we analize the difference between monetary policies of ECB and FED. In the introductory part of the paper we present the problem and the subject of this research, as well as research hypothesis, goals, methods, the contribution of the research and the structure of the paper. The goal is to analyze the effectiveness of monetary policy measures between FED and ECB during the crisis, respectively, to explore the results of these measures and to analyze the effectiveness of nonstandard measures through set of two hypothesis. We described the characteristics of monetary policies and instrumental frameworks, and we also present the measures of monetary policies which ECB and FED used to get out of the crisis. The result of research efficiency of monetary policy instruments in times of crisis have confirmed the truthfulness of the set hypothesis: ECB reacted slower to the financial crisis unlike FED, and with that, ECB was less efficient thanks to its institutional characteristics; nonstandard measures from central banks monetary policies were efficient in dealing with the financial crisis. The results of the research are summarized in the conclusion.
