Abstract
Karakteristike hrvatskog tržišta kapitala vrlo su važne u analizi ukupne razvijenosti tržišta jer odreĎuju prednosti i nedostatke koji pogoduju razvoju financijskog sustava ili ga sprečavaju. Kroz analizu pojava, procesa, investitora i institucija specifičnih za tržište kapitala u Hrvatskoj može se doći do zaključka o malom značaju ovoga tržišta u meĎunarodnom tržištu kapitala. Usporedba Hrvatske s drugim tranzicijskim zemljama čija se tržišta kapitala općenito smatraju nerazvijenima i nisko likvidnima pokazuje nepovoljan položaj, zbog čega ovo relativno mlado tržište treba nastaviti u oblikovanju političkih, pravnih i gospodarskih preduvjeta kako bi se formirao stabilan i efikasan sustav trgovanja vrijednosnim papirima i dugoročnim kapitalom.
Abstract (english)
Characteristics of the Croatian capital market are very important for the analysis of the overall market development, as they determine advantages and disadvantages that favor or prevent the development of the financial system. Throughout the analysis of the appearances, processes, investors and institutions specific for the capital market in Croatia, it could be concluded that this market shows small importance compared to the international capital market. Compared to other countries in transition, whose capital markets are generally regarded as underdeveloped and low liquid, Croatia shows anunfavorable position. This means that this relatively young market should continue to shape political, legal and economic preconditions in order to form a stable and efficient system for trading with securities and long-term capital.
