Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja je bio proučiti koliko su studenti Ekonomskog fakulteta u Splitu aktivni te koji su to faktori koji utječu na njihovu potražnju za sportsko-rekreacijskim sadržajem. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali kako većina ispitanika participira u nekoj sportsko-rekreativnoj aktivnosti, pri čemu se najveći broj njih bavi aerobikom, nekim fitness programom ili teretanom. Nadalje, rezultati su pokazali kako je i intenzitet bavljenja sportsko-rekreativnom aktivnosti zadovoljavajući, budući da se većina uzorka izjasnila kako se nekim oblikom sportsko-rekreativne aktivnosti bavi nekoliko puta tjedno. Nadalje, istraživanje je pokazalo kako je dohodak značajna determinanta potražnje za sportsko-rekreativnim aktivnostima, dok spol i godina studija to nisu. Konačno, dodatak istraživanju je pokazao kako angažman u sportsko-rekreativnim aktivnostima utječe na akademski uspjeh.
Abstract (english)
This research aimed to study how active students of the Faculty of Economics in Split are and what are the factors that influence their demand for sports and recreational activities. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents participate in some sports and recreational activity, with the largest number of them engaged in aerobics, some fitness programs or a gym. Furthermore, the results showed that the intensity of sports and recreational activities was also satisfactory since most of the students from the sample reported that they are engaged several times a week in some form of sports and recreational activities. Furthermore, the study found that income is a significant determinant of demand for sports and recreational activities, while gender and year of study are not. Finally, additional analysis showed how engagement in sports and recreational activities affects academic success.
