The aim of this final paper was to compare the offer of education loans in Croatian banks, different conditions of obtaining and repayment. The research included Privredna banka Zagreb, Hrvatska poštanska banka, Erste banka and Zagrebačka banka. For the purpose of the research, loan repayment plans were made, and the obtained data were presented in tables. It is evident that with all the similarities in some categories, the terms of the loan still differ. Similar conditions refer to interest rates that do not differ much and range from 4.19% -4.65% and to insurance instruments, where most of them are debentures and statements of consent to the seizure of income. The loan amount, repayment period, grace period and loan application processing fee are terms that vary from bank to bank. The fee proved to be the decisive factor in the choice between Privredna banka Zagreb and Erste banka. Due to the price of the loan itself, Erste banka seems to be the most favorable, but this is not the case. It is necessary to take into account the fee for processing a loan application, which does not exist at Privredna banka Zagreb. Therefore, Privredna banka Zagreb, by inspecting this paper, imposes itself as the most favorable solution when raising a selected student loan of 50,000.00 HRK. The loan proved to be the least favorable in Hrvatska poštanska banka. It is accompanied by the highest interest rate and a very short grace period.
