Abstract
Indeksi održivosti potiču odgovornu praksu i doprinose razvoju gospodarstva tvrtki koje su im pridružene, ali i njihovom ugledu. Danas sve veći broj burzi podržava održivo ulaganje stvarajući nove indekse održivosti. Osim što burze pokreću svoje indekse one se uključuju u razne organizacije koje podržavaju zaštitu okoliša i sprječavaju onečišćenje, poput standarda održivosti ESG, promicanja zelenih financija i sl. U radu su navedeni neki indeksi održivosti čije su utjecaje na poslovanje i ugled tvrtki istraživali brojni analitičari te su objašnjeni razlozi njihova nastanka i svrha postojanja. Neovisno o utjecaju indeksa na tvrtke, njihovo stvaranje je svakako pridonijelo većoj osviještenosti investitora o zagađenju, njegovom sprječavanju i smanjenju.
Abstract (english)
Sustainability indices encourage responsible practice and contribute to the development of the economy of the companies that are associated with them, but also to their reputation. Today, an increasing number of stock exchanges support sustainable investment by creating new sustainability indices. In addition to the fact that stock exchanges run their indices, they are involved in various organizations that support environmental protection and prevent pollution, such as ESG sustainability standards, promotion of green finance, etc. In this thesis the reasons for their origin and the purpose of their existence are explained. Regardless of the impact of the index on companies, their creation has certainly contributed to a greater awareness of the investors about pollution, its prevention and reduction.
