Abstract
Općina Pučišća na otoku Braču nema dovoljno razvijenu turističku djelatnost bez obzira na iznimne preduvjete koje posjeduje za razvoj ove vrste turizma. Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti trenutno stanje i potencijale budućeg razvoja ruralnog turizma na području općine Pučišća. U radu se, uz opća obilježja poput klime, geografskog položaja, demografskih podataka i gospodarstva, analizira razina turističke ponude i potražnje, mogućnosti financiranja projekata ruralnog turizma te se daje prijedlog daljnjeg razvoja ruralnog turizma u destinaciji. Stvaranjem novih proizvoda i korištenjem sredstava Europske unije, turizam će se ravnomjerno razvijati u svim naseljima općine te postati jedinstven i konkurentan na razini otoka Brača, ali i šire.
Abstract (english)
The municipality of Pučišća on the island of Brač does not have a sufficiently developed tourist activity, regardless of the exceptional preconditions for the development of rural tourism. The aim of this paper was to investigate the current state and potentials of future development of rural tourism in the municipalitiy of Pučišća. In addition to general characteristics such as climate, geographical location, demographic data and economy, the paper analyzes the level of tourist supply and demand, the possibility of financing rural tourism projects and gives a proposal for further development of rural tourism in the destination. By creating new products and using the funds of the European Union, tourism will develop evenly in all settlements of municipalitiy and become unique and competitive at the level of the island of Brac, and beyond.
