Abstract
Tema završnog rada je financijska analiza poslovanja poduzeća Valamar Riviera d.d. te utjecaj COVID-19 virusa na njegovo poslovanje. Podloga za analizu su temeljni financijski izvještaji bilanca i račun dobiti i gubitka za 2018., 2019. i 2020. godinu. COVID-19 virus se pojavio krajem 2019. godine te se početkom 2020. počeo širiti na cijeli svijet. Došlo je do naglih i velikih promjena u ponašanju populacija u cijelom svijetu kako u društvenom tako i u gospodarskom smislu. Jedna od najteže pogođenih gospodarskih djelatnosti je turizam koji ovisi o putovanjima i dolasku turista, što je pojavom virusa bilo ograničeno. Valamar Riviera d.d. je vodeća turistička kompanija u Republici Hrvatskoj. Budući da posluje u području turizma, poduzeće je bilježilo određene gubitke uzrokovane korona virusom što je vidljivo u 2020. godini. Valamar Riviera je u 2020. ostvarilo ukupne prihode u visini od 697 milijuna kuna, odnosno 65,43% manje prihoda nego u 2018. godini te tek 31% prihoda ostvarenih u 2019. Ostvarenje manjih prihoda je posljedica zatvaranja turističkih objekata u razdoblju od ožujka do svibnja 2020. godine. U konačnici poduzeće Valamar u 2020. bilježi negativno poslovanje, odnosno poslovanje s većim rashodima od prihoda poslovanja.
Abstract (english)
The topic of the final paper is the financial analysis of the business of Valamar Riviera d.d. and the impact of the COVID-19 virus on its business. The basis for the analysis are the basic financial statements of the balance sheet and the profit and loss account for 2018, 2019 and 2020. The COVID-19 virus appeared in late 2019 and began spreading worldwide in early 2020. There have been sudden and major changes in the behavior of populations around the world, both socially and economically. One of the hardest hit economic activities is tourism, which depends on the travel and arrival of tourists, which was limited by the appearance of the virus. Valamar Riviera d.d. is the leading tourist company in the Republic of Croatia. As it operates in the field of tourism, the company recorded certain losses caused by the corona virus which is visible in 2020. In 2020, Valamar Riviera generated total revenues in the amount of HRK 697 million, ie 65.43% less revenues than in 2018 and only 31% of revenues generated in 2019. The realization of lower revenues is a consequence of the closure of tourist facilities in the period from March to May 2020. Ultimately, in 2020, Valamar recorded negative operations, ie operations with higher expenses than operating revenues.
