Abstract
U današnjem okruženju, sektor malih i srednjih poduzeća omogućava održavanje gospodarstva u zemlji i na taj način ga čini stabilnijim. Međutim, unatoč aktiviranju malih i srednjih poduzeća, previše negativnih faktora koči i sputava njihov napredak. U ovom radu se skreće pozornost na značaj malih i srednjih poduzeća u ukupnom gospodarstvu Hrvatske kao i prepreke kod pribavljanja financijskih sredstava od različitih izvora za financiranje inovativnih poduhvata takvih poduzeća. Mala i srednja poduzeća posjeduju značajan udio u zaposlenosti, izvozu te prihodima u gospodarstvu Hrvatske, bitno je podupirati njihov razvoj i kreirati ugodno poduzetničko ozračje u cilju što većeg broja novootvorenih poduzeća, koje će upošljavati što više ljudi i stvoriti što veće prihode. Osim neupitnog značaja MSP za nacionalno gospodarstvo, MSP također doprinose socijalnoj i ekonomskoj koristi za regije u kojima djeluju.
Abstract (english)
In today's economic landscape, small and medium size private business keep country's economy going and thus make it stable. Despite more and more small and medium private business entering the market there are still many barriers that stop or slow their advancement down. In this paper attention is paid to the significance of the small and medium size private businesses in Croatia as well as obstacles that prevent them from getting the needed financial boost from the financial institutions. The small and medium size private businesses employ significant size of the workforce, make majority of the country’s export and contribute to the GDP, therefore it is very important to support their growth and to create environment that will encourage more new businesses that will in turn employ more workers and grow the economy. Besides obvious benefits of those businesses for the national economy they also add value to social and economic outlook of the region in which they do business.
