Abstract
U radu je iznesen teorijski i empirijski okvir monetarne politike kao ključne makroekonomske politike koja se koristi za regulaciju stabilnosti cijena i ponudu novca u gospodarstvu. Obrazloženi su načini i metode koje koristi glavna institucija u financijskom sustavu, središnja banka, u svrhu ostvarivanja postavljenih ciljeva monetarne politike. Također je obrazložen pojam gospodarskog rasta, teorije rasta i pokazatelji, kao i kretanja gospodarskog rasta u Republici Hrvatskoj od proglašenja neovisnosti do danas. U radu se ispituje postojanje povezanosti između monetarne politike i gospodarskog rasta na temelju empirijske analize zavisnosti kretanja stope gospodarskog rasta o vrijednostima njegovih komponenti koje su pod utjecajem monetarne politike, na temelju uzorka od 27 država članica EU.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents the theoretical and empirical framework of monetary policy as a key macroeconomic policy used for regulating prices and money supply in the economy. The ways and methods used by the main institution in the financial system, the central bank, in order to achieve the set monetary policy objectives are explained. This paper also presents economic growth, its theories and indicators, as well as the trends of economic growth in the Republic of Croatia from the declaration of independence until today. The paper examines the existence of connection between monetary policy and economic growth based on an empirical analysis of the dependence of economic growth rate on the values of its components influenced by monetary policy, based on a sample of 27 EU member states.
