Abstract
Informacijske tehnologije su važne zato što informacije pokreću industrije dijelom svijeta. Promocija je svaki oblik komunikacije čija je uloga informiranje, persuazija i/ili podsjećanje ljudi o proizvodima, uslugama, imageu, idejama ili društvenoj uključenosti. Uloga promocije je upoznati potrošače sa novim proizvodima i podsjećati na postojeće. Uz pomoć interneta može se skupiti velik broj informacija o pojedincu te se promotivne poruke se sve više usmjervaju specifičnoj publici. Iako seoski turizam nije nova pojava on polako postaje sve više popularniji od masovnog turizma. Promocija seoskog turizma u Hrvatskoj je gotovo nepostojeća. Većina gospodarstvenika u seoskom turizmu jedva ima web stranicu ili profil na Facebooku. Hrvatska ima veliki potencijal sa seoskim turizmom ali ga treba iskoristit.
Abstract (english)
Information technology is important because information drives industries around the world. Promotion is any form of communication whose role is to inform, persuade and/or remind people about products, services, image, ideas or social involvement. The role of promotion is to introduce consumers to new products and remind them of existing ones. With the help of the Internet, a large amount of information about an individual can be collected, and promotional messages are increasingly directed to more specific audience. Although rural tourism is not a new phenomenon, it is slowly becoming more and more popular than mass tourism. Promotion of rural tourism in Croatia is almost non-existent. Most entrepreneurs in rural tourism barely have a website or a Facebook profile. Croatia has great potential for rural tourism, but it needs to be used.
