Abstract
U ovome radu su opisani uzroci i posljedice pojave inflacije, koja se u najjednostavnijem smislu može opisati kao povećanje količine novca u optjecaju i općeg povećanja cijena robe i usluga. Osim definicije inflacije i njezine podjele, u radu je opisana inflacija u kontekstu krize uzrokovane pandemijom i ratom u Ukrajini i kako se to odražava na cijeli svijet, a posebice Republiku Hrvatsku. Brigu o stabilnosti cijena kao jednom od preduvjeta za održivi gospodarski rast za područje Europske unije vodi Europska središnja banka, dok u Republici Hrvatskoj o tome vodi brigu Hrvatska narodna banka. Inflacija znači krizu za svako gospodarstvo gdje slabi vrijednost novca, koji je gotovo jedino sredstvo razmjene modernog svijeta. Stoga je važno oduprijeti se njezinom utjecaju, uspostaviti ravnotežu u gospodarstvu i povećati broj zaposlenih.
Abstract (english)
This graduate paper describes the causes and consequences of inflation, which in the simplest fashion can be described as an increase in the amount of money in circulation and a general increase in the prices of goods and services. In addition to the definition of inflation and its division, the paper puts inflation in the context of the crisis caused by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine and how it affects the whole world, especially the Republic of Croatia. The concern for price stability as one of the prerequisites for sustainable economic growth for the European Union is managed by the European Central Bank, while in the Republic of Croatia it is managed by the Croatian National Bank. Inflation means a crisis for any economy where the value of money, which is almost the only means of exchange in the modern world, weakens. Therefore, it is important to resist its influence, establish a balance in the economy and increase the number of employees.
