Salaries are the basic form of monetary compensation that employers pay to their employees for the work performed. Analysing salary movements in the Republic of Croatia after accession to the European Union is an important tool for understanding the dynamics and changes in the labour market. Monitoring average gross and net wages and their changes over time can identify trends and fluctuations in workers' earnings. During the period from 2013. to 2022., Croatia experienced an increase in average salaries, with occasional oscillations but a continuous rise in net salaries. Accession to the European Union influenced economic developments in the country, which also reflected on workers' wages. The analysis of salary movements allows for the recognition of sectoral differences, regional disparities, and salary variations based on gender and age. Tracking this data helps policymakers direct measures and adjust the labour market to ensure a fair distribution of income and improve workers' living standards.
