Abstract
Šolta je srednje veliki otok u srednjoj Dalmaciji, u neposrednoj blizini Splita. Otok je napoznatiji po svojim netaknutim prirodnim ljepotama, skrivenim plažama i uvalama te kristalno čistom moru. Glavne gospodarske djelatnosti na otoku su turizam te poljoprivreda. Šolta ima jako duboku povijest povezanu s poljoprivredom, već od sredine 18 stoljeća vinogradarstvo je bila najrazvijenija grana na otoku, te je u njoj sudjelovalo gotovo 90% stanovništva. Veliki razlog bavljenja vinarstvom je bila iznimno popularna sorta dobričić, koja se u Hrvatskoj nalazi gotovo isključivo na Šolti. Ipak, zbog ratova te iseljenja stanovništva, sorta se početkom 20. stoljeća našla na rubu izumiranja. Tek se 2006. na otoku pokreće proces revitalizacije dobričića, te je to početak vinogradarstva na Šolti kojeg danas znamo. Na otoku postoji nekoliko nagrađivanih vinarija koji su temelji stvaranja vinskog turizma na Šolti. Vinski turizam na Šolti se sastoji od posjećivanja vinarija, degustiranja vina te komplementarnih proizvoda, obilazak vinograda te povremenih manifestacija posvećenih vinu.
Abstract (english)
Šolta is a medium sized island in Central Dalmatia, relatively close to Split. The island is most famous for his untouched natural beauties, including hidden beaches and coves and crystal clear sea. The main economic activities on the island are tourism and agriculture. Šolta has a very deep history connected with agriculture, from the middle of the 18th century, viticulture was the most developed branch on the island, and almost 90% of the population participated in it. A big reason for engaging in winemaking was the extremely popular dobričić variety, which is found almost exclusively on Šolta in Croatia. However, due to wars and emigration of the population, the variety found itself on the verge of extinction at the beginning of the 20th century. It wasn't until 2006 that the revitalization process of dobričić started on the island, and that was the beginning of the viticulture on Šolta that we know today. There are several award-winning wineries on the island, which are the basis for the creation of wine tourism on Šolta. Wine tourism on Šolta consists of visiting wineries, tasting wine and complementary products, visiting vineyards and occasional events dedicated to wine.
