Abstract
Rizik u poslovanju predstavlja potencijalnu mogućnost da se dogodi neki nepovoljan ili nepredviđen događaj koji može imati negativan utjecaj na poslovanje poduzeća. U kontekstu financijskih tržišta, rizik je neodvojiv od investicijskih odluka i upravljanja portfeljem. Zagrebačka burza, kao središnje mjesto trgovanja vrijednosnim papirima u Hrvatskoj, predstavlja platformu gdje se susreću ponuda i potražnja za kapitalom, a transparentnost i kvaliteta informacija o rizicima su ključni za njezinu efikasnost i integritet. Ovaj rad istražuje prakse izvještavanja o rizicima listanih društava na Zagrebačkoj burzi, s posebnim naglaskom na to kako karakteristike poput veličine poduzeća, djelatnosti i zaduženosti utječu na izvještavanje o rizicima. Najvažniji rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na to da postoji značajna razlika u izvještavanju o različitim vrstama rizika. Kreditni rizik je najčešće izvještavani rizik, dok su valutni i cjenovni rizici manje dosljedno izvještavani. Također, uvođenje eura kao službene valute u Hrvatskoj smanjilo je valutni rizik za mnoga poduzeća. Hipoteze istraživanja su odbačene, a financijski rizici su češće tema izvještavanja u odnosu na poslovne rizike.
Abstract (english)
Risk in business represents the potential possibility that some unfavorable or unforeseen event may occur that may have a negative impact on the company's operations. In the context of financial markets, risk is inseparable from investment decisions and portfolio management. The Zagreb Stock Exchange, as the central place of securities trading in Croatia, represents a platform where supply and demand for capital meet, and the transparency and quality of risk information are key to its efficiency and integrity. This paper investigates the risk reporting practices of companies listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, with a special emphasis on how characteristics such as company size, activity and leverage affect risk reporting. The most important research results indicate that there is a significant difference in the reporting of different types of risks. Credit risk is the most frequently reported risk, while currency and price risks are less consistently reported. Also, the introduction of the euro as the official currency in Croatia reduced the currency risk for many companies. The research hypotheses were not accepted and financial risks are more often the topic of reporting than business risks.
