Abstract
U suvremenom svijetu gotovo svakodnevno se događa da neko poduzeće propadne. Menadžment kompanija se na dnevnoj razini susreće sa složenim i nezavidnim situacijama koje zahtijevaju hitre odgovore i aktivno reagiranje. Krizne situacije su postale svakodnevnica suvremenog života zbog čega je sve potrebnije provoditi mjere prevencije, te poduzeti sve mjere i aktivnosti kako bi se posljedice umanjile na najnižu moguću razinu. Razvoj znanosti i tehnologije, globalizacija i integracija te razvoj demokracije uvelike su poboljšali standard života, ali su u isto vrijeme doveli do povećanja nesigurnosti i opasnosti u svim područjima života. U radu je najprije obrađen teorijski dio rada u kojem se navode teorijske odrednice hotelskih poduzeća, njihova povijest, standardi i kategorizacija. Zatim se ukratko objašnjavaju četiri funkcije menadžmenta (planiranje, organizacija, vođenje i kontroliranje). Objašnjava se pojam i značenje krize za poduzeća, njen utjecaj na poslovanje i uzroci krize. Potom se objašnjavaju faze kriznog menadžmenta te krizno komuniciranje. U empirijskom dijelu rada provedeno je istraživanje na uzorku od 32 hotela u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji. Podaci su potom obrađeni s ciljem da se potvrde ili odbace postavljene hipoteze. Rezultati su pokazali potrebu za radom na kriznom menadžmentu hotela, ali isto tako su pokazali da su se hoteli do sada uspjeli izboriti sa krizama i sa nedostatkom strategija kriznog menadžmenta.
Abstract (english)
In the modern world it happens quite ofren that a company collapses. The management companies on a daily basis deal with complex and precarious situations requiring prompt and active responses. Crisis situations have become a common place of modern life making it even more necessary to implement preventive measures and to implement all measures and activities in order to minimize the consequences. The development of science and technology, globalization, integration and the development of democracy greatly improved the standard of living, but at the same time led to an increase in uncertainty and risk in all areas of life. This thesis first gave a theoretical aspect of determinants of hotel companies, their history, standards and classification. Then, the four functions of management (planning, organization, management and control) were briefly explaneid. Furthermore, concept and meaning of the crisis for the company were determined, its business impact and causes of the crisis. Next were examined the phases of crisis management and crisis communication. The empirical part of the research was carried out on a sample of 32 hotels in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The data were analyzed in order to confirm or reject the proposed hypotheses. The results showed the need for work on crisis management of the hotel, but also indicated that the hotels so far managed to cope with the crisis and the lack of a strategy of crisis management.
