Corporate social responsibility in the tourism sector appears as a demand for the society for sustainable development and the long-term benefits of its application. We are witnesses that in today's world solely struggle for profit does not bring the long-term prosperity into the company or society. The key to success lies in the application of the concept of socially responsible business, which is aimed at improving the life conditions of the local population, reducing the negative impacts on the economy, or achieving profit in a socially responsible manner. The concept itself can be seen through the internal dimension of successful management of human resources and the environment, while the external dimension is aimed at contributing to the community, consumers / customers. The question that is being asked is whether the companies in the tourism sector will be more competitive if they apply the CSR concept? Will they be more competitive if they collaborate with the local community and take care of employees and customers? The study conducted has shown that there is indeed a link between the concept of CSR in the tourism sector and the competitive advantage of the company in the area of cooperation with the local community and concern for employees and customers. Collaboration with local communities, the environment, and employees brings business stability and a range of other benefits such as corporeal image, reduced business costs, increased sales, and retaining high-quality human resources.
