Abstract
U 2016. g. na području grada Kaštela registrirano je 16 malih i mikro hotela. Brojka malih hotela nekoć je bila mnogo veća, no u kratkom vremenskom periodu, neki hoteli su prestali s radom dok su neki, koji su bili registrirani kao mali, sada registrirani kao mikro iz razloga što im se smanjila vrijednost ukupne aktive/imovine i broj zaposlenih. Sinergijski efekt turizma ima utjecaj na cijelo gospodarstvo, a značaj turizma u Kaštelima je rastao iz godine u godinu što je vidljivo iz podataka o broju dolazaka i noćenja turista, koji pokazuju uzlaznu putanju kojoj se ne nadzire promjena u vidu pada. Broj hotela kao osnovnih smještajnih jedinica se smanjio, ali je rastao broj komplementarnih kapaciteta kao što je privatni smještaj i kampovi. Unatoč povećanju komplementarnih kapaciteta, upitno je hoće li oni zajedno s brojem hotela ostvariti dostatan broj postelja za povećani priljev turista. Kako bi se usporedili poslovni rezultati hotela obraĎenih u radu, korišteni su financijski pokazatelji koji adekvatnom analizom daju korisne informacije. Tako se pomoću financijskih pokazatelja došlo do zaključka da je većina hotela uspješno poslovala. U radu je takoĎer dano objašnjenje najvaţnijih pojmova za razumijevanje pojma turističkog sektora, kao i značaj financijskog izvještavanja.
Abstract (english)
In 2016. g. 16 small and micro hotels were registered in the area of Kaštela. The number of small hotels was larger, but in a short period of time, some hotels ceased to work, while some, who were registered as small, now are registered as micro, beacuse they decreased the value of total assets and the number of employees. The synergy effect of tourism has an impact on the whole economy, and the significance of tourism in Kaštela grew year after year as is evident from the number of arrivals and overnight stays of tourists, showing an upward path that is not monitored by the change in the fall. The number of hotels as basic accommodation units has decreased, but the number of complemenary capacities such as private accommodation and camps has increased. Despite the increased of complementary capacities, it is questionable whether they will together with the number of hotels, have enough beds to accommodate an increasing influx of tourists. In order to compare the bussines results of the hotels, financial indicators have been used which, by adequate analysis, provide useful information. Thus, the analysis of financial indicators leads to conclusion that most of the hotels operated successfully. The paper also gives an explanation of the most important concepts for understanding the concept of the tourism sector, as well as the importance of financial reporting.
