Abstract
Industrija videoigara je postala globalni fenomen te njeni prihodi nadmašuju one ostvarene u glazbenoj i filmskoj industriji zajedno. Brojne inovacije u području industrije videoigara, kao i razvoj različitih vrsta platformi, sve brži razvoj interneta te primjena u različitim sektorima gospodarstva potvrđuje da se radi o iznimno značajnoj industriji koja ne samo što je profitabilna već doprinosi ekonomskom rastu na mnogobrojne načine. Ovaj rad je nastao iz potrebe utjecaja na svijest javnosti o potrebi većih poticaja države i lokalnih zajednica u industriju videoigara, po uzoru na primjeru iz Novske. U Republici Hrvatskoj industrija videoigara je najbrže rastuća industrija od svih drugih. Prihodi od ove industrije će u godinama koje slijede dosegnuti impresivne brojke, a u prilog njenom ubrzanom rastu idu i suvremene promjene na svjetskom tržištu videoigara. Projekt poduzetničkog inkubatora u Novskoj treba poslužiti kao primjer kako potaknuti razvoj ove industrije.
Abstract (english)
The video game industry has become a global phenomenon and its revenues surpass those achieved in the music and film industries combined. Numerous innovations in the video game industry as well as the development of different types of platforms, faster development of the Internet and usage of it in various sectors of the economy confirms that this is an extremely important industry, besides profitability it contributes to economic growth in many ways. This paper is based on the need to influence public awareness of the need for greater incentives from the state and local communities in the video game industry, following the example of Novska. In the Republic of Croatia, the video game industry is the fastest growing industry of all. Revenues from this industry will reach impressive numbers in the following years and its rapid growth is supported by modern changes in the global video game market. The project of the business incubator in Novska should serve as an example of how to encourage the development of this industry.
