Abstract
U ovom radu obrađena je tema međunarodnog platnog prometa. On se definira kao proces svih plaćanja u cilju podmirivanja dugovanja između dvaju ili više fizičkih ili pravnih osoba. Poslovanje poduzeća u trgovini sa inozemstvom je danas nezamislivo bez poznavanja suvremenih instrumenata i sustava plaćanja, te pravnog okvira kojim su definirana plaćanja tim instrumentima. Ključnu ulogu pri plaćanju u međunarodnoj trgovini imaju banke kao posrednici u inozemnom poslu jer je njihova uloga osigurati prijenos sredstava od uvoznika prema izvozniku nudeći sigurnost da niti jedna strana neće biti oštećena. Što je veća sigurnost da će dogovoreni posao uspješno se i realizirati tj. naplatiti to je i veći trošak, no najveći trošak za poduzeće je neuspješna naplata pa pri izvozu treba biti oprezan sa kojim se inozemnim parterom posluje te u skladu sa tim dogovoriti instrument plaćanja koji će se koristi.
Abstract (english)
This paper deals with the topic of international payment transactions. It is defined as the process of all payments for the purpose of settling debts between two or more natural or legal persons. The business of companies in foreign trade today is inconceivable without knowledge of modern instruments and payment systems, and the legal framework that defines payments with these instruments. Banks play a key role in international trade payments as intermediaries in foreign business, as their role is to ensure the transfer of funds from importers to exporters by offering assurance that neither party will be harmed. The greater the certainty that the agreed work will be successfully realized, ie the higher the cost, but the biggest cost for the company is unsuccessful collection, so when exporting you should be careful with which foreign partner you do business with and accordingly agree on a payment instrument that will be used.
