Abstract
Strane direktne investicije znatno utjeĉu na gospodarski razvoj zemalja primateljica. U ovom radu se razmatra utjecaj priljeva inozemnih izravnih ulaganja na gospodarski rast, zaposlenost te investicije koji se postiţe putem efekta prelijevanja. TakoĊer se analizira priljev stranih direktnih investicija u Republici Hrvatskoj gdje je utvrĊena zadovoljavajuća razina ovih investicija. MeĊutim, većina investiranog kapitala zabiljeţena je u preuzimanje vlasniĉkih udjela putem privatizacije, ĉiji su se prihodi trošili za popunjavanje proraĉunskih manjkova. Ovako nepovoljna struktura ulaganja ukazuje na to da Hrvatskoj nedostaju greenfiled investicije koje će potaknuti rast gospodarstva i osigurati ekonomsku stabilnost zemlje.
Abstract (english)
Foreign direct investments significantly affect the economic development of the receiving countries. This paper discusses the influence of direct foreign investment on economic growth, employment and investment which is achieved through spillover effect. It also analyses the inflow of foreign direct investments in Croatia where the level of these investments is satisfying. However, most of the invested capital is marked into acquisition of equity shares through privatization whose revenues are spent to fill budget deficits. Unfavorable investment structure like this one, shows that Croatia lacks Greenfield investments which should increase and accelerate economic growth and ensure economic stability.
