Abstract
Zdravstveni turizam je jedan od primjera selektivnog oblika turizma koji se u današnje vrijeme smatra jednim od najbrže rastućih segmenata turističke potražnje. Zbog svog geografskog položaja, klime i prirodnih dobara Republika Hrvatska ima značajan potencijal za razvoj svih oblika zdravstvenog turizma. Republika Austrija je jedna od najkonkurentnijih zemalja međunarodnom tržištu te se nalazi na samom vrhu turističke ponude u segmentu zdravstvenog turizma, dok Republika Hrvatska nedovoljno iskorištava prednosti prirodnih resursa koje posjeduje zbog nedostatka zalaganja nadležnih institucija i problema vezanih za zakonodavstvo. Ovim radom prikazana je usporedba zdravstvenog turizma Republike Austrije i Republike Hrvatske, analiza trenutačnog stanja, resursa koje posjeduju te zakonodavnih okvira. Metodama analize i sinteze, opisnom metodom, metodom deskripcije, dedukcije i indukcije analizirani su podaci prikupljeni iz sekundarnih izvora. Na temelju analize došlo se do zaključka kako zdravstveni turizam u Republici Hrvatskoj unatoč dugoj tradiciji nije dovoljno konkurentan na inozemnom tržištu za razliku od zdravstvenog turizma Republike Austrije.
Abstract (english)
Health tourism is one example of a selective form of tourism and is currently considered one of the fastest growing segments of tourism. Due to its geographical location, climate and natural resources, the Republic of Croatia has significant potential for the development of all forms of health tourism. The Republic of Austria is one of the most competitive countries on the international market and is at the very top of the tourist offer in the segment of health tourism. On the other hand, Republic of Croatia does not sufficiently exploit the advantages of the natural resources it possesses due to a lack of commitment from the competent institutions and problems related to legislation. This paper presents a comparison of health tourism in the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Croatia, an analysis of the current situation, the resources they possess and the legislative framework. Data collected from secondary sources were analyzed using methods of analysis and synthesis, descriptive method, deduction and induction methods. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that health tourism in the Republic of Croatia, despite its long tradition, is not competitive enough on the international market, unlike health tourism in the Republic of Austria.
