Soft skills are essential, both in everyday life in interpersonal communication, as well as development for quality work performance. Soft skills make it possible to achieve professional success through the development of emotional intelligence, communication skills, interaction with other people and attitude towards work. This is particularly important in industries such as hotel and catering where interaction between employees and guests is necessary. The aim of the final paper is to examine the soft skills of employees of Aminess Bellevue Hotel Orebić, to determine which programs and activities are used to develop soft skills in employees and which are the main obstacles in their development. The results of the research showed that respondents recognize soft skills as an essential element in performing work, but the lack of information and insufficient education hinders their development. The results suggest that employees are ready to develop their own skills that can help them perform their work, from which they can have certain personal benefits or advance in their careers. They believe that education for the development of soft skills should be available to employees through activities organized by the company. Investing in the development of quality personnel is essential for the development of a quality tourist product.
