The banking system is one of the most arranged systems in the economy beacuse of the role it plays and it enables the normaln function od the economy through its operations. There are different definitions od the bank, but each one has the same characteristic – it is dealing with the credt operations and performing monetary operations for its clients. Bank perform various tasks and most often they can be classified accordint to maturity, balance – analytical enviroment and accoridng to the functionality priniciple. While perfoming various tasks, the bank appears in the role of creditor, debtor and entrepreneur. In the couse od its operations, there are risks od the occurrence od the unwanted event in the formo f losses or reduction od the assets. Those risks are knows as credit risk, market risk and liquidity risk. The bank’s operations can be measured by performance indicators which are calculated by using informations compiled in the financial statements, more precisely, the balance sheet and the income statement. Performance indicators are presented and explained on the basis of OTP bank. OTP bank is the largest commercial banki in Hungary that operates in Central and Eastern Europe and it is also member of the OTP Group. OTP Group consists of various branches in the fields of insurance, real estate, factoring, leasing, etc. A detailed overview of OTP bank’s operations is predented on the basis of financial indicators and the special attention was paid to the year 2020 when the first conswquences of the pandemic were felt. The repayment relief meeasures represent a package of assistance to clients who are affected in any way by the measures to suppress the spread of the virus. In the first round, it was possible to contract the only the COVID moratorium while during the second round of approval od the repayment relief measures, it was possible to contract the COVID moratorim and COVID rescheduling.
