This paper analyzes various aspects of female leadership in public institutions. The main objectives of the research were to examine successful examples of female leadership, analyze the specific characteristics of their leadership style, and compare the organizational culture of institutions led by women with those led by men. Key characteristics of female leadership, such as empathy, communication and cooperation, show a positive impact on the financial stability and innovation of organizations. The research also highlights obstacles in the professional advancement of women due to gender stereotypes and organizational norms. Data show that women make up a significant part of the workforce in public institutions, but are still underrepresented in the highest positions. Examples of successful female leadership in different activities within the public sector and in different countries indicate progress, but also the need for additional measures to achieve gender balance. A transformational leadership style, which includes vision, transparency and support, can significantly improve organizational capacity. It is concluded that female leadership brings significant benefits to organizations and society, and that it is necessary to create supportive environments that enable women to assume leadership roles. Successful women leaders serve as an inspiration to future generations and confirm that their contribution can shape positive changes in institutions and communities, which is confirmed by the case studies covered in the paper.
