Research of organizational commitment as well as managing an organization has a great value to all economies worldwide. However, that factor has not been researched enough in Croatia, unlike motivational factors or employees satisfaction. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to further explain organizational commitment and also to point out its importance and value in organizational work. Theoretic part of this work is based on explanation what organizational commitment is as well as featuring the three-dimensional model which has been formed in 1990. by Meyer and Allen. Model has been constructed of three components of commitment: affective, continuous and normative. Furthermore, two approaches based on attitude and behaviour will also be presented. Empiric part of this work has been submitted to 38 employees of the Tommy d.o.o. company. By a statistical analysis it has been established that employees do not have total commitment expressed to the company, however they do have affective component of commitment expressed unlike continuous and normative ones. Organizational commitment in Tommy d.o.o. company has not been expressed for possible specifics of Croatian market in comparison with foreign ones as well as management's unfamiliarity with concept of commitment. Future focus should be on highlighting creation and increment levels of commitment among the employees because committed employees increase efficiency as well as profitability of the companies.
