The thesis points out the responsibility of crisis management because of the constant occurrence of accidents in the field of air transport. It stresses the need to establish a dynamic Emergency plan and implement adequate safety management systems, in general, but with particular emphasis on airport Brac. Airport Brac belongs to the group of international airports, accordingly, must meet prescribed international standards and recommended practices, to even meet the certification requirements, and to gain an international work permit. Review puts to the national security program in air transport, which is designed according to international standards of safety in air transport, and adapted to the possibilities and needs of the Croatian for optimal flow of air transport in the country, both inward and outward. The readiness of each airport stems from the crisis management which should have worked out a contingency plan and be familiar with the procedures for handling the crisis. This thesis observe some preventive action in order to prevent a crisis situation, but also the action after a crisis situation. An adequate system for monitoring security control of passengers and goods contributes greatly to the prevention of unfortunate events, until professional crisis communication helps in alleviating the consequences and contributes to faster recovery from the tragic event. A major finding is based on the need for constant monitoring of the changing trends in air transport, the development of technology and information systems, investing in infrastructure and update the security system. Airport Brač has space for progress and constantly working on it, despite the negativity that has characterized the business for many years. Changing trends in air transport represent extraordinary strength and potential for further development of the Brac airport.
